Sycuan Fire Captain Byron Alcantara, Golden Eagles IHC 63B, gives a young school boy (his nephew) the special Sycuan VIP treatment by sticking an honorary fireman's badge on his chest, putting a red captain's helmet on his head, and holding him up for a professional picture. Captain Alcantara organized the Sycuan fire safety event for the Wolf Canyon Elementary School.

Sycuan Hotshots Captain Alcantara (far right) stands with his firefighting crew during their 2008 Annual BIA Inter-Agency Hotshot Crew Certification Review on June 10th and received official certification for the 2008 fire season after passing the federal government's stringent administrative, field and medical evaluations.
