PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTER

CODY RIDLEY

LEAD SAW 63 Bravo

NATIVE AMERICAN FIREFIGHTER CODY RIDLEY, a Paiute-Shoshone Indian from Fallon Indian Reservation in Nevada, is a four-year Sycuan Fire Department wildland firefighting veteran.

Cody Ridley served two years on the LA County Handcrew before he attended the 2006 Sycuan-BIA Wildland Fire Academy, got hired on to the Golden Eagles Native American hotshots.

WILDLAND HOTSHOTS complete successful 2008 fire season (click for hi-rez poster blowup), FireFighter Cody Ridley stands in the back row with his BIA California Interagency Hotshot Crew 63.

Firefighter Ridley extends a clinched fist above his head as a sign of victory after his team nailed the 10-minute run in record-like time during the annual BIA Fire Season Certification process, June 10, 2009, on the Sycuan Indian Reservation.

Golden Eagles Hotshots regularly PT together so meeting the BIA wildland minimum standards during a 10-minute run was no problem for the brotherhood — they ran the running test in a fast pace in this very close formation. DOWNLOAD HIGH RESOLUTION FIREMEN POSTER.
