MARINE CORPS 223rd Anniversary Photos
The Scuttlebutt Detachment 866 Marine Corps League presented the United States Marine Corps 232nd Birthday Ball, November 10, 2007, at the VFW Post 7420, 2100 Logan Avenue, San Diego, CA.
Sycuan Fire Chief Hank Murphy (USMC retired) was Guest of Honor.

Shirley Murphy addressed guests and gave the invocation.

A very large mariachi band entertained guests. Catering was supplied by the Sycuan Resort and Casino.


Ernesto Salgado was emcee.

Three Marines, long-time friends, addressed the crowd and posed for a photo.

Traditionally, the oldest Marine and the youngest Marine participated in the cake-cutting ceremony in honor of the 232nd Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Retired and active-duty Marines gave a traditional toast in honor of the men and wormen who have served in the Marine Corps.
