With Glacier National Park in their backyard, the Chief Mountain IHC is a highly-trained fire fighting crew who received training status in 1988.
The Chief Mountain Hotshot Crew earned its Type 1 IHC status in 1990.
The Chief Mountain BIA-IHC is known as the “Warriors of the Forest.”
In 1999, the crew received the National Safety Award for zero lost-time accidents and reportable vehicle accidents.
